Retouch rounds

Is there an app that tracks how many retouch rounds a photography client has used?

Short answer

Yes. PaloWorks counts retouch rounds against the number the client approved in your scope, and shows the client rounds used against rounds included. When the included rounds are used, logging the next one drafts a change order for you to send. It sits beside your gallery tool: the gallery holds the images, PaloWorks holds the job around them.

Free for 1 client, 3 active projects. No card to start. Updated by PaloWorks.

What to look for

  • A count tied to what the client approved

A tally in a notes app proves nothing in a disagreement.

    In PaloWorks

Rounds are counted against the included rounds in the scope the client approved from the signing link emailed to them.

  • The client sees the same count

Round disputes start when the two sides count differently.

    In PaloWorks

The client portal shows rounds used against rounds included. You can turn that meter off in Settings.

  • Notes from one sitting count once

Clients send notes in bursts, and a burst is one round.

    In PaloWorks

A round stays open until you mark it sent back. Notes sent from the scope page join it automatically; add notes that arrive by email to the same round.

  • Works with the gallery you already use

Moving galleries to get round counting is a bad trade.

    In PaloWorks

PaloWorks does not replace Pixieset or Pic-Time and does not connect to them. Keep delivering the gallery there.

  • A next step when rounds run out

Otherwise round three is a favour.

    In PaloWorks

Logging a round past the allowance drafts a change order. Nothing is sent or charged until you send it and the client approves.

How it works in PaloWorks

  1. Step 1

    Set the rounds

Write the included rounds into the scope. The Photoshoot template starts at two.

  2. Step 2

    The client approves

They open the signing link emailed to them and approve. No account.

  3. Step 3

    Log each round

Add a round when notes arrive, add later notes to it, and mark it sent back with your edits.

  4. Step 4

    Quote the extra one

Past the allowance, send the drafted change order. Invoice it once approved.

When PaloWorks is the wrong pick

  • If you need clients to favourite images or mark up the pictures themselves, use your gallery's proofing tools. PaloWorks has no favourites or on-image markup.
  • If you never limit retouching, there is nothing to count.

Questions people ask

Does it connect to Pixieset or Pic-Time?
No. PaloWorks works beside your gallery tool: deliver images there, and use PaloWorks for the scope, rounds, change orders and invoices.
Can the client request a round themselves?
Yes. From the approved scope page they send their notes, which open a round or join the one already open while included rounds remain.
Can I hide the round count from clients?
Yes. A setting turns the meter off. Clients then see the included rounds in the scope or agreement, but not how many are used.
Is it free?
Round counting, scopes and change orders are on every plan, Free included.

Put it on your next client
