- Go to Clients and choose “Import clients”.
- Upload a CSV file, or paste the rows straight into the box.
- Choose “Import clients” to add them.
PaloWorks looks for a name column (name, client name, full name, or contact name), an email column, a company column (company, business, or organization), and notes. A row with no name uses the company instead.
- Rows that match an existing client by email, or by name and company, are skipped, so importing the same file twice is safe.
- Plan limits still apply. Free includes one client and three active projects; rows past the client limit are not imported, and the page tells you how many did not fit.
- A file can be up to 2,000,000 characters.
Import time (Pro)Link to “Import time (Pro)”
On a project’s Time tab, “Import time” reads a CSV exported from a time tracker and adds the hours to that project.
- Columns it understands: date, duration (or hours), description, billable, and the person who did the work.
- Durations can be written 1:30, 1h 30m, or 1.5.
- Dates must be unambiguous. 2026-03-09 is safest; 03/09/2026 is rejected because it could be March or September.
- Rows over 16 hours, totals rows, and hours already logged are skipped.
- An entry is billable unless its billable column says no, false, 0, or non-billable.
