What a code doesLink to “What a code does”

A promo code puts your workspace on a plan — BETA puts it on Studio, which is every feature — at no charge until the code’s date. Nothing is charged, there is no card to add and nothing to cancel. On the date the workspace goes back to whatever plan it pays for, and nothing is deleted: every client, project, contract and invoice stays exactly where it is.

Applying oneLink to “Applying one”

Settings → Billing → “Have a promo code?”: type the code and choose “Apply code”. The plan changes at once, on every page. If you were sent a link such as paloworks.com/redeem/BETA, it opens that field with the code already filled in; nothing is applied until you press the button.

Starting fresh? The sign-up link paloworks.com/signup?promo=BETA carries the code into setup: the “Have a promo code?” field on the workspace page is open and filled in, and the code is applied when you choose “Create workspace”. A code that is not recognised sends the form back with the field marked, so a workspace is never created without the plan you were promised.

The rulesLink to “The rules”

One code runs on a workspace at a time; a second can be applied once the first ends. BETA applies to one workspace per account. A code never lowers a plan: if you already pay for Studio, BETA adds nothing, and your subscription keeps renewing as usual — Billing says so, and says what cancelling would leave. A week before the date the owner gets one email saying what changes and how to keep the plan.
